Hunters Namibia Safaris was founded in 1984 by Joof and Marina Lamprecht and remains family-owned and personally managed to this day.

As fourteenth generation Africans, the Lamprecht family has dedicated their lives to this land, its wildlife, and its people. Over the past four decades, we have earned an international reputation as Namibia’s premier plains game safari destination, defined by exclusivity, authenticity, and uncompromising ethical standards.

At the heart of our operation lies a deep commitment to conservation and community. The Lamprecht family are passionate advocates for fair-chase, ethical hunting as a cornerstone of successful wildlife conservation, and we work closely with Namibia’s government and conservation bodies to ensure the sustainable future of our country’s natural heritage.

HUNTING INFORMATION

We’re on Rooikraal, an 80-square-mile property in the Camelthorn Kalahari, 45 minutes from Hosea Kutako International Airport — and a little over an hour from Windhoek itself. The area is malaria-free, easy to reach, and rich in plains game.

We tailor every safari to the guest. A 10–14 day hunt is standard, hunted fair-chase and spot-and-stalk — vehicles take you to the day’s ground, but the stalk itself is always on foot. Most hunters average around one mature trophy per day, though a safari is never a stopwatch — what unfolds in the field shapes the days.
By design. We host a maximum of ten hunting parties a season because everything we believe in — service, guiding quality, the condition of our game, the experience itself — depends on keeping numbers low.
The earlier the better. Most of our guests book a year or more out, and our peak weeks fill quickly. That said, we’re happy to discuss any window — sometimes a late opening is exactly the right fit.
