Taxidermy & Shipping Information

Taxidermy and shipping for your trophies is always something to consider as you budget for your trip. Once you harvest your trophies, we will skin the trophies in preparation for the taxidermist. Then, it will be your decision where your trophies are shipped and what taxidermist you choose to mount them. There will be shipping expenses associated with the transfer of trophies from the lodge to your taxidermist. These can often be expensive and you should consult your taxidermist before your trip to see what expenses you will incur for taxidermy and shipping.

Although the outfitter is always ready and willing to try and help with matters concerning trophies and shipping after your Safari, their responsibility for your trophies ends when they are dropped off safely with the shipping agent. The outfitter and booking agents are not responsible for the taxidermy process and shipping. While we are both happy to assist you in your decision making, we are not responsible for this portion of your trip.

Your professional hunter, trackers, skinners and driver; all hunting concessions and licences; an equipped vehicle per PH; field trophy preparation; full accommodation and meals; daily laundry; soft drinks, house wine and beer at dinner; and your airport transfers in and out of Windhoek. Once you land, the day-to-day is taken care of.

Trophy fees, international and domestic flights, the 15% Namibian VAT on day fees, taxidermy and shipping, premium alcohol, rental rifles and ammunition (if needed), the South African SAPS firearm permit (if transiting Johannesburg), and out-of-area transport. Gratuities are at your discretion.

A 50% deposit secures your dates and reserves the lodge for you. The balance of the day fees is due six months before your safari commences, and trophy fees along with any extras are settled after the safari ends.

Tipping is never expected, but our guests usually ask. As a guideline: $100 per day to your PH on a 1×1 hunt, $70 per day per hunter on a 2×1 arrangement, and the equivalent of a normal restaurant percentage for the lodge staff against your daily rate. Whatever you give is shared with the wider team.

International wire transfer is our primary payment method, with banking details sent alongside your invoice. We also accept credit card payments through a secure online portal — we’ll send the link when needed. At the lodge itself, cash is welcome for small incidentals, tips, and gratuities.
